Background
Airheads Gum was introduced by Perfetti Van Melle in 2017, the same folks behind Mentos and Chupa Chups, with dual headquarters in Italy and the Netherlands.
It’s a sugar-free chewing gum that carries the same fruity flavors as the classic Airheads taffy. Since it’s a chewing gum and not a bubble gum, we didn’t fold bubble-blowing into its overall score the way we would for a bubble gum.
Micro-Candies!
This gum includes “micro-candies”, though in our experience, you have to use your imagination to detect them. They must be truly micro.

Our Take
For this review we tested a standard serving, 2.5g, or one stick.
The taste is great. It’s one of the “paradise blends,” and it really does conjure up sipping a raspberry lemonade on a lounge chair. The intensity grabs your attention in the first few chews, maybe that’s the micro-candies at work. Flavor duration is solid too: we averaged about ten and a half minutes before it faded.
Texture is a little on the soft side, but pleasant overall, and an astute tongue might catch those micro-candies in the opening bites.
As for bubbles, we didn’t officially score bubble-blowing here, since Airheads isn’t marketed as a bubble gum. Between you and me, though, you can still squeeze out a few small ones.
